The first trailer for Creed, the Rocky franchise spin-off, dropped yesterday (June 30).
The new film stars Michael B. Jordan as Adonis, the son of Apollo Creed, and Sylvester Stallone reprising his role as Rocky Balboa. Apollo was Balboa’s nemesis in Rocky and Rocky II but the pair became friends, working together in Rocky III and Rocky IV, before the character’s death.
In Creed, Adonis heads back to Philadelphia to follow in his father’s footsteps. He finds Balboa and convinces him to train.
